GATESVILLE – Two individuals have been arrested following a residential break-in last week.
Gates County Sheriff Ray Campbell said Nicholas Callis of Suffolk, VA was the first to turn himself in after warrants were drawn for his arrest on the charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering.
The second suspect, Nicholas Arnold, surrendered to the Gates County Sheriff’s Office on Monday (April 14). He was arrested on charges identical of those listed on Callis’s warrant.
On Tuesday of last week (April 8), Campbell posted photos, taken from a home security camera, showing two men on the porch of a residence in the county. A break-in at that residence was later reported.
“As always, we received an overwhelming amount of support and assistance from members of our community,” said Campbell, referencing the photos posted on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. “Thanks to that support we were able to identify both suspects and secure warrants for their arrest.
“The Gates County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our amazing citizens for their assistance in this matter. We truly appreciate you,” Sheriff Campbell added.
