WINDSOR – The owner of several cows has been charged again following another motor vehicle collision involving his livestock.
On Thursday, Bertie Sheriff’s Deputy J. Andrews filed charges on William C. White Jr. of Cooper Hill Road for allowing his livestock to run at large and violating a court order.
Bertie Sheriff Tyrone Ruffin said that over the past two years, there have been numerous reports made to the Bertie County Communications Center in reference to the livestock running at large. Several of those reports involved collisions between the livestock and vehicles.
Ruffin said that White recently pled guilty in Bertie County District Court for livestock running at large and was ordered by a District Court Judge not to allow his livestock to run at large.
For this latest incident, White is scheduled to appear May 7 in Bertie County District Court.
