PORTSMOUTH, VA – William Pierce “Bill” O’Neal, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1934 in Long Branch, New Jersey to the late, William Bateman O’Neal and Ida Pierce O’Neal. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillie Mae O’Neal.
He is survived by his sons, Charles “Charley” O’Neal (Jackie), John O’Neal, and Roger O’Neal; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Pridgen (William); brother-in-law, Winston Daughtry; and grandchildren, Katelyn Kurasaka (Trent), C.J. O’Neal (Catelyn), John O’Neal, Jacqueline O’Neal, Aryanna O’Neal, and Alexander O’Neal.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, April 4, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church or charity of choice.
