AHOSKIE – Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) Student Affairs invites students, job seekers and community members to the R-CCC annual Career and College Transfer/Resource Fair on Thursday, March 20.

This free event, sponsored by the Rivers East Workforce Development Board, will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Student Services Building’s Multipurpose Room.

Whether guests are exploring career opportunities, seeking employment or considering further education, this event offers an excellent chance to network with employers and representatives from top universities. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with hiring businesses, learn about available programs, and explore resources for career advancement and educational growth.

The fair will feature a diverse group of businesses, organizations and academic institutions eager to engage with attendees.

Participating universities include East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, NC State, NC Wesleyan, UNC Charlotte, UNC Pembroke, UNC Wilmington, and UNC Greensboro.

Among the participating businesses and organizations are the City of Franklin Police Department, Coastal Staffing, Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, ECU Health and ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital, ECU School of Dental Medicine, Enviva, Hertford County NCWorks Career Center, Hertford County Public Schools, NC Department of Insurance, Northampton County Health Department, Plymouth Chiropractic, Quality Home Staffing, Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center, Roanoke Cooperative, and State Employees Credit Union (Ahoskie).

Some businesses will be accepting applications and conducting on-the-spot interviews, so attendees looking for employment are encouraged to bring their resume, dress professionally and arrive ready to make a great impression.
