AHOSKIE – A shooting here early this afternoon (Friday) is being investigated as a homicide.

The Ahoskie Police responded to a shooting at Peachtree Apartments at around 1:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police located a deceased male. His name is not being released at this time, according to the police.

There was no information shared about a possible suspect or suspects.

The Ahoskie Police said they are being assisted in the investigation by the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina SBI.
