HARRELLSVILLE – Frances Chappell Baker Liverman, age 91, passed away on March 21, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Suffolk, VA.

Mrs. Liverman was born in Hertford County, NC on March 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Earl B. and Janie Brown Chappell. Frances worked as a Clerical Assistant/Bookkeeper for Roanoke Chowan Community College for several years, until her retirement. She was an active, faithful member of Harrellsville Baptist Church and the Harrellsville Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star for as long as her health permitted. Frances was a kind, loving woman, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Vernon Baker; her husband, Richard Owen Liverman; a sister, Helen Chappell Vinson; and brothers, Earl Chappell, and Edward Chappell.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Susie Brock and husband, Archie of Suffolk, VA; her son, Edgar Vernon Baker, Jr. of Murfreesboro, NC; her grandchildren, Brian Beasley (Jennifer) of Vancouver, Canada, Allison Beasley Carr (Nathan) of Suffolk, VA, Lindsey Brooke Beasley of Suffolk, VA; Christopher Scott Baker of Missouri; and Elizabeth Anne Baker of Gates, NC; and nine great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Harrellsville Baptist Church the Rev. Dr. Jeff Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Harrellsville Cemetery.
