MURFREESBORO – Shirley Price Hill, age 87, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Mrs. Hill was born on February 11, 1936 to James and Marion Price in Tacoma, Washington. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted her life to helping her husband in his business and taking care of her children. Her love for her children was shown to all children in the community, she seemed to be the happiest when she was around kids. Shirley loved to be outdoors. She was a lover of anything nature related. She enjoyed working in her flowers, her yard, exercising, walking the dog, and watching birds, especially red birds and hummingbirds. Shirley also was a huge Elvis fan and enjoyed listening to his music. She was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Eugene Hill, Jr.; son, James Eugene Hill; and brothers, Robert Charles Moller, and Henry Moller, Jr.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Teresa Kelley of Suffolk, VA; daughter in law, Lorraine Jarvis and husband Steve of Courtland, VA; three grandsons, Jason Eugene Hill and wife Lauren of Wilmington, Christopher James Hill and wife Macy of Como, and Robert Trevor Kelley of Suffolk, VA; a granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Kelley of Washington; two great-grandsons, James Austin Hill, and John Beauman Hill; two great-granddaughters, Charlotte Brooks Hill, and Adelyn Grace Patrick; and two brothers, Vance Price of Vashon Island, WA, and Richard Moller and wife Melissa of Gig Harbor, WA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, NC.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Pastor Jason Villegas officiating.
