Ridgecroft School students support pet food drive

To the Editor:

I would like to thank Ridgecroft School’s Senior Beta Club and their sponsors Kim Kirby and Molli Rose for recently hosting a pet food drive. The entire student body participated by bringing in nearly 130 bags and cans of pet food, pet snacks, and cat litter.

These generous donations will go along way in filling the pet pantry project currently underway by the non-profit group Companion Animal Advocates of Bertie (CAABertie).

During these difficult times, many of our citizens have needed a box of blessings from a food pantry. But what about their pets? We will be using the pet food and supplies to fill the pet pantries. Currently, there are five being built and soon will be installed in communities across Bertie County.

Any time we can shine a light on our younger generation, we certainly should. They have big hearts and want to help the places they call home. Celebrate and applaud the generosity of Ridgecroft’ s student body, to include the following Senior Beta Club members:
