Due to the inclement weather expected across the Roanoke-Chowan area today (Friday) from the remnants of Hurricane Ian, Chief District Court Judge Brenda G. Branch has erred on the side of caution and canceled all District 6 Courts scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30.

These cancellations will impact the following court sessions scheduled for today:

Bertie County Small Claims

Halifax County Criminal

Halifax County DWI

Hertford County Traffic
