AHOSKIE – Alma Cotton Taylor, age 100, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Accordius Health at Creekside Care in Ahoskie, NC.

Alma was born on July 26, 1922 to James Cleveland Cotton and Blanche Smith Cotton in Norfolk, VA. Alma always took great pride in yard, making sure her flower beds were beautiful and of course had a big garden to help feed the family. She spent many years working at Copeland Drug store in Ahoskie. She enjoyed spending hot summer weekends on the Chowan River with her family and friends. She always had a huge smile, bubbly personality, that never met a stranger. Alma was a proud grandmother and great grandmother that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and her brother.

Alma is survived by her two sons, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends can view and pay respects to Mrs. Alma on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Harrellsville Cemetery, Harrellsville, NC.
