JACKSON – Now is the time to sign up for the NC Ag Cost Share Program.

The Northampton Soil and Water Conservation District has received the 2022/2023 allocation. These funds are made available to assist landowners and users to install conservation practices that help decrease the amount of sediment, nitrogen, phosphorous, chemicals and other pollutants in the surface and ground waters of the state.

Landowners and operators may apply for cost share assistance to install conservation practices such as diversions, terraces, grass waterways, field borders and more.

All NC Ag Cost Share applications are reviewed and ranked by the local District Board of Supervisors for funding. Potential applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Please feel free to visit the local Soil and Water Conservation Office located at 9495 NC Highway 305, Ste. 107, Jackson, or call 252-534-2591 ext. 3 for an appointment.
