Governor offers reward for info on Northampton murder

RALEIGH – Governor Roy Cooper announced on Friday that the state is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Erskine Reginald Lawrence, age 50.

The family of Erskine Lawrence is also offering an additional reward in the amount of $5,000, separate from the Governor’s reward.

On June 14, 2021 at around 12:30 am, members of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office found Lawrence in the yard of his residence on Mills Street in Severn. The medical examiner concluded that Lawrence died from gunshot wounds to his abdomen.
