“We are excited to have Mrs. Bond join Roanoke Electric Cooperative’s board to represent the members of Gates County,” Speller said.

Bond is a lifelong resident of Gates County. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Elizabeth City State University and is a retired elementary school teacher of 30 years.

“I am honored to serve the member-owners of District 6 and the entire Roanoke Electric Cooperative family,” Bond stated. “I will strive to make sure that member-owners are aware of the services provided by Roanoke Electric Cooperative that can lead to a more economical use of electricity and enhance the member-owner experience.”
