CONWAY – Wilford Harold Askew, 83, of Futrell Street, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Askew was born on June 22, 1938 to the late Rodney W. Askew and Valeria Bridgers Askew in Northampton County. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. Wilford spent most of his spare time watching television with his favorite shows being romantic comedies. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Wilford is survived by his beloved wife, SuEllen; two sons, Brian David Askew and wife Joy of Columbus, OH, and Billy Askew and fiancé Jenifer Coleman of Glen Allen, VA; and his sister, Phyllis Woodard and husband Jimmy of Raleigh, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church, Conway, NC, with the Rev. Dr. Julian Mills officiating.
