HAMPTON, GA – Sandra Outlaw Meyers, age 73, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 near her home in Hampton, Georgia.

Sandra was born in Ahoskie, NC, and leaves behind her beautiful 100 year old mother, Nancy Lowe Outlaw, and her baby brother Scott (Lisa) Outlaw in her hometown. She is survived by her son, Matthew (Liz) Meyers, and two grandsons, Tyler and Austin. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

Born May 20, 1948, Sandra moved to the Atlanta suburbs to be near her sister and family in her early adulthood. She faithfully served the Cities of Riverdale and Jonesboro in positions of financial officer and city clerk for the years that followed. Sandra would often be seen curled up with a good book or cooking for her family. She always could be counted on to have a loved one’s back, no matter the cost.

She was a member of Church of God in Griffin, Georgia.

All who knew Sandra are missing her greatly.

There will be a memorial gathering of friends and family at First Baptist Church of Ahoskie on March 20, 2022 at 12:30 p.m., following the Sunday service.
