AHOSKIE – Lawrence Kenneth Sumner, age 59, passed away on February 14, 2022 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.

Ken was born in Hertford County, NC, on September 29, 1962, the son of the late Lawrence Raleigh and Ellen Horton Sumner. He worked for Harrington Manufacturing Company in Lewiston until it closed.

Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Sumner.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Kim Sumner of Ahoskie, NC; and several cousins.

The family has arranged for a memorial service to be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Open Arms Church, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Joe Lassiter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Open Arms Church, 1418 NC 461, Ahoskie, NC, 27910.
