AHOSKIE – James Perry Hill, age 84, of South Street, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Accordius Health at Creekside Care of Ahoskie, NC.

Mr. Hill was born on August 29, 1937 to the late James Thomas Hill and Hope Perry Hill in Ahoskie, NC. He graduated from Ahoskie High School, later attended Hargrave Military Academy and Chowan College. James was the owner /operator of Wholesale Tire of Ahoskie, later known as Colony Tire. He was a dedicated member of Ahoskie United Methodist Church and the past president of the Ahoskie Lion Club. James enjoyed golfing, fishing, snow skiing, hunting, skeet shooting, and building and flying model airplanes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many that will be deeply missed.

James is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda; daughter, Julie Hill of Nags Head, NC; granddaughter, Jessica Felton of Long Beach, NY; grandson, William James Felton of Wilmington, NC; two nephews, Richard Jernigan and wife Carla of Raleigh, NC, and Garrett Jernigan and wife Lynn of Petaluma, CA; and his special fur baby, Heidi.
