Ahoskie ushers in Christmas season

AHOSKIE – The Town of Ahoskie formally opened the 2021 Christmas season on Monday evening (Nov. 29) with a festive event at No Man’s Land Park on Main Street.
A large crowd gathered to witness the annual lighting of the town’s Christmas tree. Meanwhile, local youngsters were treated to a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The event also featured hot chocolate, courtesy of Wells Fargo, and holiday-themed songs from New Ahoskie Baptist Church and local Girl Scouts.
