MARGARETTSVILLE – Keith Leitner Jordan, age 57, passed away on September 11, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Jordan was born in Suffolk, VA on August 17, 1964, a son of the late Louis and Ann Bryant Jordan. Keith was a graduate of Southampton Academy and attended N.C. State University. He began his life with his first love, farming, with his dad. After starting his family, he transitioned to driving trucks. Keith had many loves in his life, first being his God and family. Simple things in life brought him great joy, like racing his sons to the mailbox, as well as cooking on the grill for family and friends. He enjoyed working in his garden, providing food for his family and friends. He was a wonderful servant to his God, his family, and his community. Being a faithful member of Conway Baptist Church, he found great joy in serving as a Deacon and in many other capacities. On Sunday morning you could always find him at church, and by 1:00 p.m. you could find him and his wife and sons at home, ready to cheer on the Vikings to victory. Keith enjoyed a beautiful life with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish Keith’s memory is his loving wife, Deidra Cherie Drake Jordan; three sons, McKinley Leitner Jordan of Margarettsville, NC, Dylan Keith Jordan of Conway, NC, and Bryant Caleb Newsome of Mt. Olive, NC; his sister, Kim Jordan Nixon and husband, Tim of Courtland, VA; his brother, Kevin Jordan and spouse, Robert Graham of Palm Springs, CA; a grandson, Tristain Samuel Newsome of Mt. Olive, NC; a niece, Sarah Nixon Stephens and husband, Corey of Courtland, VA; nephew, Matt Nixon of Courtland, VA; and a great niece, Carter Anne Stephens of Courtland, VA. Also surviving are two aunts, Shirley Bryant and Betty Kirkland; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 1-1:45 p.m. at Conway Baptist Church, Conway, NC with the celebration of life service to follow at 2 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Willie McLawhorn officiating. A private family burial will be in the Jordan Family Cemetery at the home.
