RALEIGH – Linda Askew Fornshell, age 76, of Whitaker Mill Road, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her home. She is survived by one sister, Cindy Peace of Wilson; a daughter, Lisa Anne Fornshell, and three beautiful granddaughters; Sophie, Sadie, and Syris all of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Florence Davis Askew; and a brother, Billy Askew, all of Conway, North Carolina.

Special thanks to Oncologist, Dr. Mark Graham and to the many nurses and staff members of Waverly Oncology and Hematology of Cary. They are so loving and caring and were so loved by Linda.

Also, a special thanks to the many friends for their love and support as they called, sent cards, and drove her to and from her many doctor appointments…and those who helped pick up groceries, meds, etc.

While she made and loved many friends in Raleigh, her heart was always back home in Northampton County where she grew up…and in particular the small loving community of Pendleton where she spent her formative years. The members of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church were her extended family, and she had a special place in her heart for all of them. A private burial for family members only will be held at the Roberts Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Pendleton, NC.
