AULANDER, NC – Alice Paige Godwin Jenkins, age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Pine Forest Rest Home, Potecasi, NC.

Alice Paige was born on April 10, 1938 to Troy Hanes Godwin and Tamar Horton Godwin in Hertford County, NC. She loved her family greatly, especially her grandchildren. She would always have her family over for Sunday dinner as long as her health permitted. Known as J Five with her hunting friends, she enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Alice Paige spent her career managing Wachovia Bank in Aulander and later finishing her time with Wachovia in Ahoskie before retiring. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, C. Horton Godwin.

Left to cherish Alice Paige’s memory is her daughter, Kim A. Jenkins and husband Greg; son, Bob H. Jenkins and wife Debbie, all of Aulander; two brothers, Troy H. Godwin, Jr. and wife Patrise of Cofield, and Jimmy E. Godwin of Kill Devil Hills; four grandsons, Derek Jenkins, Cody Jenkins and wife Sarah, Jordy Jenkins and girlfriend, Samantha Styron, and Logan Jenkins and girlfriend Mary Beth Shaw, all of Aulander; a great-grandson, Dawson Jenkins; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Jenkins, along with many friends.

A celebration of life graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC with Pastor Greg Hurdle officiating.

The family extends a special heartfelt thank you to the caring and dedicated staff at Pine Forest Rest Home and Community Home Health and Hospice for the love and care given to Alice Paige during her illness.
