MURFREESBORO – It is with profound sadness that the family of Joseph G Minton, P.D., RPh, announce his peaceful passing on Friday, June 18, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Pharmacist and owner of Colonial Pharmacy, Joe was dedicated to the care and support of his patients and customers and loved them all. Joe led a life of service to others and was active in many community organizations. A history buff, Joe’s thirst for learning led him to many hobbies from scuba diving to sky diving and everything in between.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Howard, and his mother, Irene. He is survived by his wife, Fran; his two children, Gray and Amy; his beloved Colonial Pharmacy family; and his cherished dog.

At Joe’s request, no memorial service or visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe’s name to your favorite charity.

Special thanks to all of those who provided support and prayers during his illness. For a caring and generous man with such a big heart, it ultimately couldn’t support his body any longer, but he will be in our hearts forever.

Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Murfreesboro Chapel is handling the arrangements for the Minton family and online condolences can be directed to the family by visiting www.garrettsykesfs.com.
