AHOSKIE – Robert “Bob” Allison Dickson, age 63, of Greenwood Drive, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center.

Robert was born on July 8, 1957 to James and Jean Casey Dickson in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Robert spent his career working for International Paper and after retirement, spent as much time as he could at Atlantic Beach, NC. He was a simple man who loved to hunt and fish and more than anything, loved spending time with his family and his grandkids. Robert loved life and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Dickson, and his mother, Jean Casey Dickson.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Mary; son, Ryan Dickson and wife Mary of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Stacey Dennis and husband Jordan of Niceville, FL; granddaughters, Abbi and Norah of Niceville, FL; grandson on the way, River James Dickson; step-daughter, Jessica Daniels of Courtland, VA and Johnathan Edwards; step-grandsons, Hunter, Tyler, and Tristan; brother, Jim Thomas Dickson and wife Donna of Belhaven, NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, 2 p.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel.
