AHOSKIE – Joshua Lee Wolverton, better known as “Wolverine” and “Josh”, 20, of Ahoskie, died on Sunday May 16th, 2021.

Josh was a graduate of Hertford County High School, class of 2018. He attended East Carolina University. He was very involved in JROTC as he was The Hertford County Bear Battalion Command Sergeant Major and enjoyed competing at competitions.

He loved being outdoors whether he was boxing, playing basketball, or gardening. Josh enjoyed being an athlete in high school where he played football and wrestled. On weekends Josh enjoyed watching UFC, shows about Vikings, listening to music, fishing, hunting, really just anything to keep him active. Josh was a very hard worker and was always the first person to lend a hand to someone in need.

Everyone that knew Josh knew how silly he was, how much he loved to laugh, how he was always the first to stand up for his classmates/friends, and most importantly, how kind he was.
