AHOSKIE – Beverly Ann Melson Dye, age 78, of Ahoskie High School Apartments, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Vidant Bertie Hospital.

Mrs. Dye was born on January 9, 1943 to Mitsy Melson and Louise Murden Melson Wright in Currituck County, NC. Beverly dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and grandmother and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Dye, and brother, Hank Melson.

Beverly is survived by her three sons, David Doyle and wife Marsha of Ahoskie, Shane Dye and wife Julie of Ahoskie, and Michael Doyle of Annapolis, MD; a daughter, Kim Vann of Ahoskie; four granddaughters, Sadie Jones, Mandi Webb, Brandi Lococo and husband Nathaniel, and Heather Dye; four grandsons, Bentley Brady, Brandon Spivey, Michael Dye, and Matthew Dye; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Martin; and a sister, Dora Pacana and husband Tony of Coinjock, NC.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 11 a.m. at Job Cemetery, Aulander, NC, with Pastor Ray Faircloth Sr. and Pastor Ray Faircloth Jr. officiating.
