WILLIAMSTON – Ramona Louise Godwin passed away from this earth on December 20, 2020 at Vintage Inn of Williamston, NC.

Ramona was born on June 9, 1950 in Ahoskie NC to Clayton Llewellyn and Gertrude Holloman Godwin. She was the oldest of 5 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her 4 siblings: Dianne Godwin Johnson (husband Steve and child Kevin), Timothy Llewellyn Godwin (wife Leatha and children Leon and Natalie), Andrew Gordon Godwin (wife Valorie and child Brandon), Charlton Holloman Godwin (wife Dorothy and children Morgan and Patrick).

Although “Mona” struggled with severe epilepsy since childhood, she lived a full life making close friends wherever she lived. As a child she loved doing anything with her Grandaddy Holloman. She also loved animals and raised dozens of pigeons at her childhood home in Center Grove. She was twice married and lived in Florida, Germany and Texas. Later in life she spent several years living back at Center Grove before moving to the Vintage Inn in 1999.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the loving care given Ramona over the past 20 years by the staff of Vintage Inn who are surly angels on earth.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie.
