AHOSKIE – Antonino “Tony” Mineo, 55, of West Church Street, Ahoskie, NC, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

Mr. Mineo was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy on September 17, 1964, and was the son of the late Rosario and Vincenza Scolaro Mineo. He had formerly managed the family business, Franco’s Pizza in Ahoskie. A Catholic by faith, he had served in the Infantry of the Italian Armed Forces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Enrico Mineo.

Surviving are his son, Marco Mineo of Milan, Italy; his sister, Alessia Mineo Huckabee and husband, Tony, of Aulander; his brother, Franco Mineo and wife, Beverly, of Kitty Hawk; and nieces, nephews, and other extended family members both here and in Italy.

A private service will be held and Tony will be buried with his family in Highland Memorial Gardens.
