AHOSKIE – Ronald Lee Parker, 59, of Ahoskie, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at his home.

Ronnie was born on May 26, 1961 to the late Carlton Ovie “Bill” Parker, Jr. and Anne Willoughby Parker in Ahoskie, NC. Ronnie worked on Hertford County drainage crew, installing driveways, cleaning ditches, shoulder repair and he also operated a boom mower. Ronnie was well liked by his coworkers/friends while working at NCDOT. He drove a gas truck for Eastern Fuels first before going to work at the Department of Transportation where he worked until he had heart surgery. Ronnie has a great passion for dogs, especially his enduring love for his Great Danes. He loved them with all his heart. Ronnie will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his aunts, Jenny Buchanan of Sanston, VA, Jean Emory of Hopewell, VA, Philippia “Phil” Pullen of Prince Frederick, MD; Patricia Scott of Mineral, VA; along with numerous friends.

A celebration of life memorial service for Ronnie and his dad Carlton “Bill”, that died June 16, 2020 just a few days prior to Ronnie’s death, will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.
