SUFFOLK, VA – Michelle Nobles, 56, of 6831 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk, VA, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020, in Sentara Obici Hospital. She lived nearly four years after her diagnosis of Cancer, when told she only had six months. She attributed that to God’s grace, and her determination.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia on November 5, 1963, she was the daughter of the late James Nobles and Lorraine Harrell Nobles. Retired as a Program Technician with the Gates County, NC Farm Service Agency after 33 years of employment, she loved her daily interaction with the farmers of the area, whether they were in and out of the office in a few minutes, or stayed and talked and talked on rainy days. Michelle loved her friends and family, and had a special place in her heart for her pets and all animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kyla McKay Turner.

Surviving are her daughter, Janeen Nobles Turner and husband, Mickey, of Eure; her grandbabies, Mickaylee and Logan Turner; her step-mother, Betty Nobles of Chesapeake; her sister, Kim Keating of Chesapeake, her brother, Rick Nobles and wife, Marlo, of Virginia Beach; and other extended family members.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, February 29th, at 1:00 p.m. in Eure Baptist Church, and will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor. Friends are invited to join the family in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.

Michelle asked that flowers be omitted, and any contributions in her memory be made to your local animal shelter, or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
