HARRELLSVILLE – Two suspects are still being sought for the armed robbery of the Duck-Thru convenience store here Dec. 17.

Hertford County Sheriff Dexter Hayes said two clerks were on-duty at the time, but neither was injured. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store’s cash register.

The robbery took place at around 7 p.m. at the store, located at 100 West Main Street. There, one of the clerks was at the register and the other was stocking the beverage cooler when two black males entered the store.

One of the suspects, according to the clerk at the register, was armed with a handgun. He was wearing camouflage clothing (pullover shirt with hoodie, pants, and ski mask) and work boots.

“The suspect with the handgun directed the other male suspect to go behind the counter and get the money from the register,” Sheriff Hayes said. “That suspect was described as short in height and was wearing a black hooded shirt, khaki pants, and black Nike shoes.”

Those with information to share about this robbery are encouraged to contact the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office or their nearest law enforcement agency.
