AHOSKIE – Zane Daryl Roberts, age 63, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC surrounded by his family.

Zane was born on November 7, 1956 to the late Charles and Jane Ambrose Roberts in Edenton, NC. Zane was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his family tremendously, especially his grandchildren whom he was truly devoted to. Even though his family was his top priority, Zane enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, bluegrass music, and his trips to the mountains. He was a huge Trump supporter, #TRUMP2020. Zane spent many years as a salesman, but his true love and passion came with his landscaping. He took great pride in his beautiful work. Zane was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish Zane’s memory is his loving wife, Diane; two sons, Jeremy Roberts and wife Heather, and Josh Roberts and his wife Amy; two granddaughters, Makynley Roberts, and Macy Roberts; two grandsons, Sawyer Roberts, and Carter Lee Roberts; brother, Phill Roberts and wife Terry; sister, Ginger Creech and husband Robert, all of Ahoskie; his mother-in-law, Eunice Mitchell of Scotland Neck; nephew, Heath Creech of Ahoskie; niece, Courtnie Proctor and husband Kyle of Hertford; along with numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 2, 2020, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC and other times at the lodge.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Trey Gilliam and Pastor Greg Hurdle officiating.
