WINTON – Ernest Wayne Bazemore, 68, of 206 West Wynn Street, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in his home where he was surrounded by his family.

Wayne was born in Norfolk, Virginia on April 21, 1951, and was the son of the late Virgil S. “Buddy” Bazemore and Frances Vaughan Bazemore. He was the retired owner and operator of Bazemore Logging.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Burgess Bazemore; his brother, Steven H. Bazemore and wife, Donna, of the Milwaukee community; his mother-in-law, Mary Burgess of Winton; his brother-in-law, Sonny Burgess of Kill Devil Hills; two nieces, two nephews, two great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.

A private graveside service is planned.
