CORAPEAKE, NC – Bonnie Morgan Snead, 75, of 600 Union Branch Road, Corapeake, died Friday, December 6, 2019 in her home.

Mrs. Snead was born in Gates County on March 27, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Marvin Andrew Morgan and Willie Elizabeth Asbell Morgan. A retired bookkeeper, she had worked with Farmer’s Feed & Seed, and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Vick; and by brothers, Jack Morgan and Johnny Morgan.

Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Langston (Jennifer Duncan), of Corapeake; two sons, Wardell Langston (Rene`), of Elizabeth City, and Wayne Langston (Ken Jakubec) of Chesapeake, VA; four grandsons, Aaron, Trevor, Grayson, and Luke; a great-grandson, Phoenix; her first husband and life long friend, Donnie Langston, life long friend Miriah Smith; her special friend, David Hodges of Chesapeake, VA; special niece Susie Corbman (Helena Byrum); and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12 at 2 pm in Eureka Baptist Church and will be conducted by Chaplain Davin Phillips and the Rev. David Lawson. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service for visitation at the church, and in the social hall immediately following the service.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Community Home Care & Hospice and her nurses Vanessa Butler, Crystal Jenkins and Shann Gill for the love and comfort given to Bonnie and her family in these last months.
