AULANDER – Betty Ray Bland Ingram, age 81, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Vidant Bertie Hospital in Windsor, North Carolina.

Mrs. Ingram was born on November 3, 1937 to Irron T. and Inez Hall Bland in Hertford County, North Carolina. Betty was a devoted and loving wife and mother that always took care of her family. She especially loved her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband, mainly camping. She cherished her time babysitting children in the neighborhood. Betty will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Ingram, and her brother, Reginald Bland.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Ellen Conner and husband Donnie; her son, Tim Ingram; and grandson, Carl Conner, all of Aulander; two granddaughters, Brittney Conner of Aulander, and Kaylee Elizabeth Ingram of Harrellsville, North Carolina; two sisters, Linda Castelloe and husband Craig of Ahoskie, North Carolina, and Judy Terry and husband George of Salemsburg, North Carolina; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, North Carolina, with Rev. George Terry, officiating. Burial will follow at Aulander Cemetery, Aulander, North Carolina.
