QUEEN CREEK, AZ – Lillian Francis Archer Simmons, age 92, formerly of Winton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Queen Creek, AZ.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Winton, NC, on December 20, 1926, a daughter of the late Frank Benjamin and Jennie Brown Archer. Lillian worked as a salesperson in catalog retail sales.

Besides her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sheldon Simmons; her daughter, Jennifer Eason; and her three sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Shelley Gandara and husband, Manuel of Queen Creek, AZ, and Linda Sundheim of Mesa, AZ; her son, Tracy Simmons of Littleton, CO; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Simmons will be laid out for viewing on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

The family, and any friends that wish to do so, will gather for a brief burial service at Winton First Baptist Church Cemetery on a later date.
