“Bri spent more than 400 hours, both during her junior and senior years in high school, volunteering in the Rehabilitation Department at Vidant Bertie,” stated Cross. “Her assistance was invaluable, and she received high praise from not only Rehab Department personnel, but patients as well.

“Bri hopes to attend Martin Community College to pursue certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant,” Cross added.

This is the first year that the Vidant Bertie Hospital Volunteers have offered a scholarship to a student planning to pursue a career in health care.

“Bri is more than deserving of the scholarship. We hope that she will come back to Vidant Bertie once she is certified and work with our Rebab Department,” said Cross.
