AHOSKIE, NC – James “Jim” Oliver Rountree, Jr., age 50, passed away on March 17, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Rountree was born in Hertford County on July 9, 1968, a son of Dorothy Futrell McKenzie and the late James Oliver Rountree. Jim was a good-hearted man who loved his work at A Tech Installation, where he worked for over 10 years. He will be greatly missed by co-workers and many friends.

Besides his father, Jim was preceded in death by his step brothers, Frank and Chuck Coggins

Jim is survived by his mother, Dorothy Futrell McKenzie, of Sebastian, FL; his aunt, Sondra Salter of Sunbury, NC; and step sisters, Debbie Rhodes of Tennessee, Gina Suttles of Florida, and Patricia Perez of Florida.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 11:00 am in Ahoskie Cemetery, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Doug L. Van Niel officiating.
