WINDSOR – Parents: Is bullying a problem for you and your child? If so, would you like to give feedback to Bertie County Schools on how it is affecting you and your child’s life?

For school staff: Do you see bullies in your classrooms? Do you know how to address problems when they arise?

For students: Are you a victim of bullying? Would you like to learn ways to prevail against bullies, and are you willing to take a pledge and stand against bullying?

If any of the above applies to you, then please consider attending a free, communitywide event on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Bertie Middle School gym to address this issue in an event entitled, “Waging the War Against Bullying!”

Beginning at 6 p.m., guests will have an opportunity to hear from experts, and view and vote on their favorite, student-made videos that address this topic.

There will be live student performances, a few speakers, and each school will be represented at a table by experts who can help.

Bertie School officials also ask that students, parents and staff complete surveys about this issue at the survey table.

Those planning to attend are encouraged wear something camouflage to show your commitment in “Waging the War against Bullying!”
