AHOSKIE – Travonte’ J. Warren has always dreamed of being an attorney.

He is the son of Adell Overton Warren, and the brother of Tawana Warren, Le’Emilio Overton, and AnTerio Staten, all of Ahoskie. He is also the nephew of Willie Mae Overton, Ollie Overton, Kathy O. Vinson (Curtis) of Ahoskie, Cynthia Sessoms (King) of Lewiston, Larry Overton (Jeanette) of Winton, and Theopolish Moore of Poughkeepsie, NY.

From the time Travonte’ first entered the doors of Ahoskie Elementary until he exited the doors of Hertford County High School as Salutatorian, he has stated he wanted to be an attorney. With the help of the Lord, his dream has become a reality.

Travonte’ J. Warren is a graduate of Hertford County High School, and holds an undergraduate degree and a law degree from UNC Chapel Hill.

Warren graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2015. After graduating, he did a Summer Internship with Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. His excellent skills, obtained through UNC Chapel Hill, earned him an offer from Procter and Gamble to return upon graduating from law school for a position in their office. Travonte’ accepted their offer.

He returned to UNC Chapel Hill to attend UNC’s School of Law. He graduated on May 13, 2018 with a Juris Doctor Degree. He immediately went into the extensive and difficult task of preparing for the Bar. His long hours of hard work have finally paid off. He received his long-awaited email, congratulating him for passing the Bar for the State of Ohio. He will be sworn in on November 13, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.

With God’s grace and mercy, Travonte’ will continue to prosper. As a proud product of Hertford County Public Schools and a member of New Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, he has proven that all things are possible if you apply yourself and believe.
