Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Todd Foster of Newsoms, VA are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Brandon Todd Foster, to Karen Rochelle Preston, daughter of Ms. Rebecca Preston of Greenville, North Carolina. Karen is also the daughter of the late William Preston and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Preston, of Louisa KY, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Raymond Stepp. Brandon is the grandson of the late Mr. James Foster and the late Charlotte Foster, and Mrs. Betty Vann of Newsoms, VA and the late Mr. James Vann. Ms. Preston graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geology and is employed as an Industrial Pretreatment Specialist at Greenville Utilities Commission in Greenville, North Carolina. Mr. Foster graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a History Education Licensure. He is now employed with Bertie County schools as a high school history teacher in Windsor, North Carolina. The couple plans to be married in Williamston, North Carolina at Williamston Memorial Baptist Church in December 2018.
