MURFREESBORO – Ms. Lula Mae Lassiter died at the age of 102. Ms. Lassiter was born on May 4, 1915 in Northampton County, North Carolina. She transitioned to be with God on June 30, 2017 at the home of Mrs. Katie Parker of Murfreesboro, NC, where she had lived for over 35 years.

The family is grateful to Mrs. Parker for taking very good care of her and showing her lots of love and affection. The family is eternally thankful for all of Mrs. Parker’s endeavors to ensure that Lula had a productive and happy life. The family would also like to thank Dr. Alston for caring for her.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two granddaughters, Sheryl D. Blythe and Rosetta Parker (Ray); one grandson, Donald Blythe, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Lassiter’s funeral was held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Hertford County Funeral Home Chapel. The burial followed immediately at New Haven Church Cemetery in Murfreesboro, NC.
