WOODLAND, NC – Melissa Renee Evans Beale, age 53, passed away on May 10, 2017 at her residence.

Renee was born on September 6, 1963 to Ervin Rockwell Evans and Nellie Smith Evans in Wilmington, NC. Renee worked as a CNA both privately and for Kind Hearts in Rich Square, NC. She was full of compassion and kindness for everyone that she took care of. Renee took great pride in taking care of others and enjoyed flower gardening. She had a great love for all animals, especially her German Shepard, Gracie. Renee was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend that will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by mother, Nellie Ann Smith Evans and her brother, Michael Kim Evans.

Renee is survived by her husband Mason; her father Ervin and his wife, Rachel Johnson of Nakina, NC; her brother, LaGrant Evans and his wife Marilyn of Jacksonville, NC; three nieces and one nephew, Austin and Chapel Evans both of Jacksonville, NC, Tessa Bryant, of Murfreesboro, NC, and Kelly Barnes of Woodland, NC; and many special friends.

The family received friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Rich Square, NC.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Rich Square Chapel, Rich Square, NC, with the Rev. Willie McLawhorn officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Rich Square, NC.
