MURFREESBORO, NC – George “Stan” Stanton Warren, age 52, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, after a sudden illness, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Stan was born on January 19, 1965 in Alexandria, VA, the only child to George Clayton Warren, Jr. and Barbarette Barnes Warren. He was a member of Meherrin Baptist Church. Stan was dedicated to his family and loved watching his sons excel on the athletic fields. A career educator that held an Educational Specialists Degree, Stan left lasting memories for all the students whose lives he touched as both a teacher and a principal.

Left to cherish Stan’s memory is his wife, Michelle; two sons, Brandon and Tucker; his parents; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Meherrin Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, NC with Pastor John Porter and the Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home at any time.
