COLERAIN – Albert Mitchell Williams, 94, of Colerain, a resident of Creekside Nursing & Rehab in Ahoskie, died Thursday January 2, 1917.

He was born in Bertie County on August 2, 1922 to the late Vann Cohen and Nancy Jane Barnacascel Williams, and was predeceased by his wife, Harriet Williams; son, John Williams: brother, Rudolph Williams; and granddaughter, Connie Askew.

Mr. Williams, a retired farmer, was a member of Harrellsville United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years.

Funeral services were held on Sunday February 5, 2017 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor. The Rev. Chris Howerton officiated. A private burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy W. Williams and husband, Richard of Colerain; brother, Lloyd Williams of Harrellsville; special friends, Crystal and Dorothy Earley; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from the home of Nancy Williams, 1218 NC 42, Colerain, NC.
