Coy L. Brown

KELFORD, NC – Coy Lindsey Brown, age 98, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2017 at his residence.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Helen Pearce, and one brother, JB Brown.

Mr. Brown was born on June 28, 1918 to Zebedee and Minnie Brown in Powellsville, NC. He was as a hardworking dedicated father that was always there for his family. Coy enjoyed times spent with his wife while training and showing horses. He spent most of his life farming and was a peanut broker for many years as well. Coy also enjoyed taking a fishing trip every chance he could. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Coy is survived by his loving wife Judy; one son, Coy Lindsey Brown, Jr. of Jamestown, NC; two daughters, Sally Brown Mull and husband Robert of Winterville, NC, and Anne Brown Bell of Ardmore, OK; one sister, Pansy B. Storey of Murfreesboro, NC; and two brothers, Lonnie Brown and wife Becky, and Howard Brown and wife Alice, both of Powellsville, NC; four grandchildren, Stephen Cooper, Laura Parker, George Bell, and Brian Bell; two great grandchildren; Cody and Gabrielle Bell; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on January 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery, Roxobel, NC, with the Rev. H C Boschen, officiating.
