MERRY HILL – Annie Rhodes White Baker, 83, of Doc Baker Road, Merry Hill, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton. She was born in Bertie County on March 31, 1932 to the late William Gaston and Mary Cobb White and predeceased by her husband J. F. “Dock” Baker; sisters, Flora Mason Willard and Helen W. Evans; and brothers, Mecklin, Rufus, Steve and Clyde White. Annie Rhodes was a member of Capeharts Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Capeharts Baptist Church by Rev. David Baker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Rose Baker White and husband Steve of Merry Hill; sons, Phil Baker of Colerain, and Frank Baker and wife Kim of Windsor; sister, Mary W. Brown of Merry Hill; brother, Grover White of Williamston; grandchildren, Kelly Phelps and husband Martin, Frank Baker, Jr., Jennifer Hoggard and husband Wilson, and Jesse White; and great grandchildren, Riley Phelps, Sydney Phelps and Paisley Phelps.

The family will receive friends from the home.
