AHOSKIE, NC – Macy Harrington Miller, age 87, died on November 19, 2015 at the Ahoskie House.

Mrs. Miller was born in Bertie County, NC on May 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Roy Fay and Elia Terry Harrington. Macy was a graduate of Aulander High School; worked for Ahoskie Manufacturing for several years; worked as a sales clerk for The Foxy Lady in Ahoskie; and worked for Hallmark. She was a devoted member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Talmon Conner “T.C.” Miller; a sister, Thelma H. Dempsey; and a brother, Odice L. Harrington.

Macy is survived by her daughter, Teresa Miller Futrell of Ahoskie, NC; her son, Hilton Miller of Harrellsville, NC; and a sister, Edith H. Smith and husband, Charlie of Millennium, NC. Also surviving are her nieces, Glenda H. Francis, and Lou Ann Simmons; and several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, with Rev. Greg Hurdle, and Rev. Taylor Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC.
