GREENVILLE – Marvin Bennie “M.B.” Fretwell, 70, died Sunday, October 11, 2015.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 14 at 2 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church, following a private burial. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.

M.B., son of the late Marvin Blair and Leala Pledger Fretwell, grew up in Ahoskie and graduated from AhoskieHigh School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. Upon returning he took a job with RJ Reynolds and settled in Tarboro. He was a member of First Baptist Church and supporter of Tarboro High School booster club.  His love of his family brought him to Greenville several years ago, where he was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Spending time with family, making memories with his wife, and enjoying activities with his grandchildren brought his greatest joy. Cherished husband, daddy and “B”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ben Fretwell; and a sister, Betty Lou Fretwell Peele.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbi Sue Fretwell; daughters, Georgeanna Mahoney and husband, Jeff, and Apryle Davis and husband, Jon; son, Mark Fretwell and wife, Valarie; and his greatest pride six grandchildren, Robert, Hayes, Wells, Reeves, Anna Paige and Patrick; and a sister, Jane Fretwell Holloman of Ahoskie.
