AHOSKIE – Ivey Mae Cooke Lassiter, age 65, of Ahoskie, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lassiter was born June 9, 1950 in Hertford County, NC, the daughter of the late Willie Cooke and Margaret Lane Shepard Cooke.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Ray Lassiter; her son, Kenneth Lassiter; and a brother, Oscar Wayne Cooke.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Tina Marie Adkins and Ivey Lassiter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC.
