PLYMOUTH – Mr. George Calvin Williams, age 59, a resident of Plymouth, NC, died Thursday September 10, 2015 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Harvest Church, 2020 W. 15th Street in Washington, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Williams was born in Bertie County, NC on January 30, 1956 to Linwood Calvin Williams and Lennie Byrum Williams. On June 12, 1993 he married Debra Ann Langston of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Williams was a loving and compassionate man who loved spending time with family & friends. He was a hard worker and a great provider. Before retiring on permanent disability, he worked at Eastco Aluminum, Winton, NC; Union Camp, Franklin, VA, and Weyerhaeuser Co, Plymouth, NC. He had many interests, including singing worship songs, hunting, fishing, and baseball. He was a die-hard UNC basketball fan. He loved God and his church family and loved to work in the yard and garden.

Survivors include his wife, Debra L. Williams; three sons, Christopher Aaron Williams, Noah Daniel Williams, and David Seth Williams, all of the home; his mother, Lennie B. Williams of Aulander, NC; two brothers, Thomas Williams and wife Darlene of Millennium, NC, and Steve Williams and wife Tammy of Alexandria, LA; two sisters, Claudia Baker and husband Timothy of Aulander, NC, and Susie Williams of Murfreesboro, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his father, Linwood Calvin Williams.
